Average price of EUR 45/MWh in Polish tender

Wind looks like the grand victor in Poland's first technology-neutral tender, where prices went as low as EUR 36 per MWh. Changed regulations would however push prices further down, says wind organization and suggests another tender.

Poland's first technology-neutral tender between solar power and onshore wind resulted in almost 42 GWh of projects being awarded. 31 bids from 23 companies were accepted with prices ranging from PLN 157.8-216.66/MWh (EUR 36.7-50/MWh) with a weighted average of PLN 196.17/MWh (EUR 45.6), informs the Polish regulator (URE).
