Siemens Gamesa wins big Belgian offshore order

The manufacturer will supply wind turbines to an offshore wind project at 487 MW capacity distributed between two facilities and located off the coast of Belgium.

Siemens Gamesa is nominated to supply wind turbines to two combined offshore wind farms in Belgian waters with capacity totaling 487 MW. The customer is SeaMade NV, and the order includes delivery and installation of 58 turbines of the model SG 8.0-167 DD as well as a 17-year service contract, informs Siemens Gamesa in a press statement Monday.
