MHI Vestas confirms largest order to date

The Danish-Japanese offshore wind turbine manufacturer announces an order for 100 units of its upgraded model for Moray East.

MHI Vestas' hitherto largest order has just been made firm and unconditional. The offshore wind turbine manufacturer confirms that the contract is signed with the developers of Moray East, located 22 km off the coast of Scotland. Aside from the 100 units of the turbine type V164 each at 9.5 MW that will constitute the facility's 950 MW, the producer has also won a 15-year service contract.
