US Vestas project receives approval

Apex Clean Energy has received a green light to install the third phase of the project Dakota Range in South Dakota, which is deliberating on deploying Vestas' largest wind turbine model.

South Dakota's Public Utilities Commission (PUC) has approved Apex Clean Energy's project Dakota Range III. The project developer has received a building license to install up to 42 wind turbines with a combined capacity of 151.2 MW, and the company will also install a 345 kV transmission cable to the facility, which is expected to enter operation in late 2020, informs South Dakota PUC in a statement.
