500 MW Siemens Gamesa project gets green light

French utility Engie received approval for its domestic 496 MW offshore wind project only few days after the wind turbine manufacturer submitted its application to build a local factory. The wind farm is expected to enter operation in 2023.

After many long delays, it now seems that the French offshore wind farm Dieppe-Le Treport can finally get started. French utility Engie, the main player behind the project's backing consortium, has received approval from regional magistrates in Normandy to build and connect the 496 MW offshore wind farm, inform Seine-Maritime authorities.
