Offshore wind competition stiffens in the Netherlands

Utility Engie will also join the battle to win the next Dutch offshore wind project, while Innogy has opted not the place an offer due to the tender being too risky.

Four bidders have announced their candidacies for offshore wind project Hollandse Kust Zuid 3+4, rated at roughly 700 MW. Besides Vattenfall, which won last year's tender for the first project in the area, the list counts Ørsted, the Witwind consortium and now also Engie.
