Siemens Gamesa to install 42 MW onshore wind in Poland

The turbine manufacturer has secured an order in Poland and speaks kindly of the seemingly loosened political iron grip on onshore wind, as tenders for 2.5 GW are being considered for this year.

Siemens Gamesa has received an order of 42 MW for a project in Barwice in north-western Poland. The manufacturer will supply 14 wind turbines with a per unit effect of 3 MW and has furthermore been awarded a 20-year service contract by project developer Wirtgen Invest Energy, a subsidy of German WINRG. The turbines are expected to enter operation by January 2020, informs Siemens Gamesa in a press release, writes Polish media Biznes Alert.
