Finland allocates 500 MW in wind projects

Wind projects were the sole winners – and losers – of Finland's first technology-neutral tender. None of the submitted 19 bids pertained solar farms, biomass plants or wave power installations. A total of seven projects with a combined output of 1.37 TWh were allocated to six bidders. This was slightly under the tender's cap of 1.4 TWh, Finland's energy regulator informs in a statement.
