Solar storm takes German renewable power tender

Germany's third solar and wind tender attracted more than 100 bids, yet none pertained wind farms.

Germany's technology-neutral solar and wind tender has turned out to be a relatively one-sided affair. As was the case with the first two rounds held last year, solar projects also cleared the table during this hand. Altogether, subsidies are allocated to 18 solar facilities with a combined capacity of 211 MW and an average price of EUR 0.0566 per kWh, informs the German Federal Network Agency in a statement.
