Siemens Gamesa refutes tightened price squeeze

Despite the lowest wind turbine prices ever, the company maintains optimism. An annual price reduction of up to 5 percent is a stabilization for us, says CFO.

Following several quarters with increasing prices for Siemens Gamesa's wind turbines, prices slid once again in the latest quarter – and rapidly. The average sale price (ASP) declined 11.8 percent per sold MW to only EUR 0.67 million per MW – clouding out the otherwise fine results for the first three months of 2019.
