Siemens Gamesa's price per MW hits new record low

The wind turbine manufacturer performed well across all key figures in the first quarter of its fiscal 2019. On the other hand, growth in orders from special markets causes equipment prices to plummet to only EUR 670,000 per MW.

Siemens Gamesa's latest interim report went forward on all posts. Revenue increased by 7 percent to EUR 2.389 billion, while earnings before interest and taxes grew by two-thirds to EUR 90 million, providing a net result of EUR 49 million. The latter post is 40 percent higher than fiscal Q1 last year, the company informs in a statement Tuesday.
