Large Nordex turbines debut in the US

The German manufacturer is set to supply wind turbines rated up to 4.8 MW for a major facility in the US' third-largest wind state.

With an contract for 350 MW, Nordex enters recent weeks' order bonanza in the US. It is not only a large order in terms of total capacity for the German wind turbine manufacturer, but also in terms of individual turbines. Thus, for the first time on the North American market, it is the Delta4000 platform that has been selected, and the planned delivery entails 74 turbines with rotor diameters of 149 meters and 4-4.8 MW generators, the company announces.
