Equinor gets green light for world's largest floating offshore wind farm

Norway's Equinor has received permission from Spain's Canary Islands to install several hundred megawatts in 2024. The company is pleased to see support for the project, which will set three new standards if completed.

A new project, novel in several regards, is beginning to take form. The world's largest floating offshore wind farm, which will also be Spain's first commercial-scale facility and the first of its kind off the coast of Africa, is slated to become a reality in 2024.
