US solar power will grow 25 percent in 2019

Trump levied a 30 percent import tariff on Chinese solar panels in 2018, but Wood Mackenzie nonetheless reports massive growth in Q1 of 2019.

In the US, the first quarter of 2019 was the best period to date for the solar energy industry, which installed solar capacity totaling 2.7 GW in a matter of months, report both Wood Mackenzie and the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) based on the Solar Market Insight Report Q1.
