Siemens Gamesa secures 283 MW in US orders

Financial matters on two repowering projects are settled, and the wind turbine manufacturer increases cooperation with a US developer to more than 1.4 GW.

Project developer Clearway Energy Group has finalized funding of repowering projects Wilderado and Elbow Creek in Texas. This means firm contracts for Siemens Gamesa, which last September signed a conditional agreement to upgrade the wind farms, which have a combined effect of 283 MW. The two parties' cooperation thus boosts capacity past 1.4 GW, announces Clearway.
