UK launches offshore wind support initiative

At least 650 UK-based companies are expected to benefit from a new 10-year program meant to bolster the domestic sector supply chain and increase local British content in offshore wind farms.

UK trade association Offshore Wind Industry Council (OWIC) is launching a 10-year program initially backed by GBP 100 million aimed at maximizing offshore wind supply chain growth opportunities in the global sector, the organization informs in a press statement.
