French court rejects appeal on offshore wind farm

Offshore wind project Saint-Brieuc, hailing back almost seven years, now takes a few steps closer to realization following France's supreme court of appeals' rejection of contesting cases put forth by a belittled rival and an organization.

Siemens Gamesa is now one step closer to booking a 500 MW order. France's supreme court of appeals, Conseil d'Etat, has rejected an appeal from company Nass & Wind and the organization Gardez les Caps against the Iberdrola-led consortium Ailes Marines' project Saint-Brieuc, planned to feature 62 of of Siemens Gamesa's SG 8.0-167 DD wind turbines, informs Conseil d'Etat, first reported by Renews.
