Vestas' new CEO tones down profit outlook

The wind turbine maker downgrades its full-year guidance after profit was halved. The trade war and transport costs get the blame.

As expected, Vestas' second quarter order intake hit record volumes. Indeed, it totaled to 5,696 MW – 1,095 of which went unannounced ahead of time – surprisingly large. However, that is the most positive item on the wind turbine manufacturer's first interim report under the auspices of its new Chief Executive Henrik Andersen.
