Vestas becomes main sponsor of Mercedes

The Danish wind OEM follows Mercedes into Formula E in a four-year main sponsorship also meant to result in concrete joint projects with the German car maker outside the tracks. (updated)

This November, Mercedes' Formula 1 champion of the past five years will fire up for the first time in the electric counterpart to the world's biggest racing event, Formula E. It won't be the only one making its debut, as the logo of Vestas will adorn the vehicle's body following the wind OEM entering a four-year main sponsorship deal with the car maker's team, Mercedes-Benz EQ, Vestas tells EnergyWatch.
