Prysmian knocked by US fiberoptic rival's downgrade

The Italian cable manufacturer's share price took some flak after US-based competitor Corning downgraded annual guidance for two business segments.

Corning, a US-based semiconductor producer, downgraded its annual guidance Monday evening, which had an effect on the Italian cable company's equity due to overlapping activities with the US firm – beyond its core high-voltage cable business.
