GE chosen for offshore wind projects totaling 3.6 GW

For their three Dogger Bank projects, Equinor and SSE nominate the US company's Haliade-X turbines, which thus go from being non-existent on the market to overtaking MHI Vestas and Siemens Gamesa in only one and a half week.

GE has entered the fray in earnest. Only one and a half week after the US company was for the first time chosen as preferred supplier with its Haliade-X platform, when Ørsted pointed to the 12 MW turbine for two projects of 1.2 GW in the US, the manufacturer has now received an even bigger declaration. Thus, Equinor and SSE nominate Haliade-X for their coming Dogger Bank projects of 3.6 GW, GE announces.
