Wind service firms sweeps up new Senvion contract shards

Deutsche Windtechnik will be taking over the service contract for Trianel Borkum II as soon as development is complete.

Wind OEMs typically perform service tasks on their own offshore turbines for the first five years after commissioning. But this custom will be set aside as soon as the 32 machines are installed at Trianel Borkum II in the German North Sea. The project's owner has selected Deutsche Windtechnik to carry out maintenance, handle spare part replacements as well as logistics to and from the wind farm, Deutsche Windtechnik informs in a statement.
