RES hybrid project approved in Australia

Developer RES has now attained approvals for projects totaling more than 2 GW in Australia after the green-lighting of a hybrid plant, at which a connected battery facility has greater capacity than the wind farm.

British project developer RES Group has received approval for 185MW wind farm Twin Creek in South Australia. According to a report on the development plans, the project will consist of 51 Vestas turbines, type V136, probably with per-unit ratings of 3.6 MW, thereby bringing the wind OEM another potential order on the Australian market.
