Thor gets new subsidy scheme

The winner of Denmark's Thor offshore wind project will be compensated if the power price drops below the preceding year's average. If the price is higher, though, the profit will be shared with the state.

When Denmark sends the Thor offshore wind project to tender, a new subsidy scheme based on the UK's Contracts for Difference (CfD) system will be in effect, informs the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities in a press statement presenting the new support mechanism.
