US offshore wind contract delayed

Negotiations between Shell and EDPR's joint venture and Massachusetts' distribution companies have not reached an agreement in due time regarding certain "key contract terms".

Mayflower Wind was meant to become Massachusetts' second offshore wind project last Friday. However, negotiations exceeded the deadline without signed contracts between joint venture project owners Shell and EDPR and the commonwealth's distribution companies charged with managing output from the offshore wind farm, informs The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC)
