Shell and EDPR set new US price record

Despite a trio of cost-raising circumstances, Mayflower Wind cuts around 7 percent off the hitherto low-price record set by CIP and Avangrid.

A new record is set for US offshore wind. Shell and EDPR's 804 MW Mayflower Wind project has been approved at a price of USD 0.585 [real 2019 dollars, -ed.] per kWh, Massachusetts' Department of Energy Resources informs in a statement Tuesday CET.
