Cowi lands new US offshore wind contract
Shell and EDF have contracted the engineering consultancy to manage electrical infrastructure development for New Jersey's Atlantic Shores offshore wind project.
Preparations are getting started for the Atlantic Shores offshore wind project in New Jersey waters. Shell and EDF, which hold the site lease licenses for a combined capacity of 2.5 GW, have hired Danish engineering consultancy Cowi to carry out design work on the establishment of electrical infrastructure tasks. The job entails both planning onshore and offshore substations as well as the design and layout of inter-array and export cable, Cowi writes in a statement.
