Total builds big battery in France
The oil and gas supermajor and its subsidiary Saft are planning to build to the largest battery in France.
Fossil fuel giant Total is currently trying to add a little more solar and wind to its oil and gas business. But as the company moves further into green power, it must also face the fact that renewables are intermittent, and maintaining grid balance without the relative ease of dialing up or down on a fuel knob is a trickier affair.
