Danish tower producer expands into Asia

With a partnership agreement to establish a new factory for more than EUR 110 million, Welcon pursues its plans for a presence in Taiwan.

Wind turbine tower manufacturer Welcon will be producing in Taiwan as of early 2022. The company has struck a deal with Century Huaxin Wind Energy (CHWE) – a subsidiary of Taiwan-based Century Iron & Steel – to collaborate on tower production for the Taiwanese market as well as other Asian markets, Welcon announces.
