Norwegian developer acquires lake-based wind in Sweden

Norwegian developer Cloudberry has acquired project Rewind Vänern and sees it as an important stepping stone toward fulfilling its ambition to develop 2.5 GW in Swedish offshore wind before 2030.

It almost looks like the sea when looking outside from Oslo-based developer Cloudberry's office in Karlstad, Sweden, but it's actually just a lake, Vänern. With an area exceeding 5,600 square kilometers, Vänern is easily mistaken for the sea, and Vindpark Vänern of 30 MW therefore looks just like an offshore wind farm.
