Vestas wins small US order with room for more

The Danish wind OEM has taken in an order qualified to receive a 60-percent tax rebate from the US' PTC scheme.

Vestas has secured an 8-MW order from the US for wind turbine components from the group's 4-MW platform, thereby qualifying the undisclosed customer's project for a 60-percent discount from the country's production tax credit subsidy scheme.
