European Energy plays final hand for Danish nearshore development

Almost ten years have passed since the first establishment permit application was submitted for 560 MW distributed across two nearshore wind farms. However, a new threat looms near the finish line, and authorities seem to doubt the project.

There are some things that don't require much in the way of political deliberation. For instance, it only took 33 days from the introduction of Danish government's conceptual energy island proposal until 98 percent of Parliament agreed to two of the major projects. Other items are left to mature on back storeroom shelves for somewhat longer.
