The cost of having a megawatt of wind energy installed and maintained in Lithuania is approximately EUR 1.23 million. At least, that's the price that Lithuanian utility Ignitis Group is paying Nordex for delivery of wind turbines, balance of plant as well as service and maintenance for a 15-year period at the 63-MW wind farm Mazeikiai. The total value of the EPC contract recently assigned to the German wind turbine manufacturer comes to EUR 77.5 million before taxes, writes Ignitis.
