GE bags gigawatt order

The US manufacturer secures an order entailing 377 turbines for a wind farm in the US expected operational before year's end.

Turbine delivery has already commenced, but General Electric now formally announces an order for no less than 1,050 MW going to Pattern Energy's wind complex in New Mexico, Western Spirit. The project will consist of 377 turbines of the US manufacturer's 2-MW platform with capacities ranging from 2.3 to 2.8 MW.
