Danish offshore wind tender attracts all-star players

Beyond the usual duo of Ørsted and Vattenfall, bidders including Total, Iberdrola, RWE and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners have all announced their interest in developing Denmark's forthcoming Thor offshore wind project.

The most imposing field of bidders to date is lined up to build Denmark's next offshore wind farm. Six companies and consortia have thus applied for – and received – pre-qualification to participate in this year's public tender for the 800-1,000-MW Thor offshore wind farm, the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) informs in a statement.
