Finnish offshore wind pioneer hires Siemens Gamesa for onshore project

After succeeding with a large turbine model in Sweden, Siemens Gamesa proceeds to its eastern neighbor with the first order in the country.

Siemens Gamesa has received its first order for the 5.X platform in Finland. The wind turbine manufacturer will supply 14 units in the version SG 5.8-155 to project Alajoki-Peuralinna of 81 MW in the central part of the country. Placing the order is utility Suomen Hyötytuuli, which took over the project in December.
