Siemens Gamesa builds US blade factory via firm order

The turbine maker is assessing various models for establishing a factory in Virginia slated to commission in 2024, pending the final investment decision on a major wind farm.

The top class of the offshore wind industry moves closer to establishing US production. After announcements from major suppliers like foundation manufacturer EEW and tower maker Welcon on factory construction in New Jersey and New York, respectively, Siemens Gamesa slightly unveils its likely establishment of a blade plant in virginia.
