Siemens Gamesa gets order for typhoon-proof turbines

Turbine maker Siemens Gamesa secures order for a "milestone giant project" with delivery of 79 units to Japan's largest onshore wind cluster.

Typhoon-proof turbines are usually only required within offshore wind. However, the tropical hurricanes rage not only at sea, after all, which now benefits Siemens Gamesa. The wind turbine manufacturer secures an order for 79 such units with a total capacity of 339.7 MW.
