Vestas confirms German offshore wind order

A new floating installation method will make the process quicker, less damaging to the seabed, and generally cheaper, the OEM writes about a new order with an old customer.

Vestas now has its second firm and unconditional order in hand after reintegrating its offshore wind business. Like the first, it is a confirmation of a previously conditional contract for a project in the German part of the Baltic Sea. At the time, Parkwind's Arcadis Ost 1 project of 257 MW to be equipped with V174-9.5'ers – also the same hardware as the preceding order, Iberdrola's Baltic Eagle.
