Spanish company builds tower factory in UK

Backed with British state subsidies, GRI Renewable Industries plans to invest roughly GBP 80m in building new production capacity along the east coast of England.

Siemens Gamesa is not alone in expanding its offshore wind production footprint in the UK. While the OEM informed on Monday of doubling its blade plant in Hull, the Spanish turbine tower maker GRI Renewable Industries now announces its forthcoming establishment in the country.
