Equinor plans launch of new floating wind concept

The Norwegian oil company has a new floating wind design ready which Equinor hopes will secure success for its Scotwind auction bid.

With a new concept in place, Equinor means to ensure its success in the Scotwind solicitation, which closed in July. With its new concept, Wind Semi, the Norwegian group wants to be able to compete by using a solution specially designed for installation in rough seas, also providing favorable conditions for local participation, Equinor writes in a statement.
