Ørsted wins surprisingly big in the US

The Danish utility won its bid to develop Skipjack Wind 2 offshore of Maryland late last week, while rival US Wind also took home an almost equal allocation.

A duel of sorts was already in the cards between Ørsted and the utility's former US offshore chief, Jeff Grybowski, in Maryland's second tender – a standoff that, while not ending in a draw, perhaps could be seen more as a victory for both parties when the state concluded the round on Friday.
