Vestas receives its biggest US order this year

Canadian developer takes its final investment decision worth a rough half-billion dollars for a wind farm, highlighting a fixed price agreement with the Danish manufacturer.

Vestas announces a big late-year order illustrating how tough the year has been for the company. Shortly before Christmas, the OEM revealed one of the year's hitherto largest orders from the US market: 301MW to be supplied from the fourth quarter of next year to Canadian developer Transalta's twin project White Rock in Oklahoma.
