Statkraft is setting up shop in country number 19, with the choice falling on Finland this time around.

"Statkraft has been active in the Finnish market for many years from our offices in Norway. Now we are reinforcing our presence with an office in Espoo," says Vice President Nordic Origination Einar Hoffart in Statkraft.

A key focus of the Finnish office will be PPAs, which is a special priority for Statkraft these days. The company has a declared ambition of becoming a major player on the European market.

In 2021 and 2022, Statkraft has managed to secure several large PPAs with Neste, Kemira and Keva, among others.

"It is time for our Finnish customers to have a locally available partner," says Fredrik Åkerlund, head of the new Espoo office:

"Our position enables us to offer competitive and innovative services related to power sales and procurement to all participants in the market."
