Vestas has won a 42MW order to supply several wind farms in Portugal, the Danish OEM informs in a statement Tuesday morning.

The orders include 2 model V162.6.2 units – Vestas' largest onshore model and of the EnVentus platform – 2 V117-4.2'ers as well as 6 machines of the 3.6MW variety.

“We are glad to see the first EnVentus order in Portugal. The V162-6.2 MW delivers industry-leading energy production and we expect our technology to make a significant contribution to the energy transition in the region," notes Agustín Sánchez Tembleque, Vestas' general manager for Spain and Portugal.

A 15-year Active Output Management 5000 agreement is also attached the order, Vestas writes.

The wind turbines are scheduled for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2022, with commissioning set for the first half of next year.
