Ørsted is postponing its planned ESG investor call "in light of the Russian invasion of Ukraine," the company notes in a press release issued Wednesday.

The event was originally scheduled for Monday, March 13, but has now been postponed indefinitely.

"Ørsted hopes for a better timing later in the year and will send out information about a new date as soon as possible," the Danish utility writes.

This follows Danish shipping giant Maersk announcing the cancellation of its ESG teleconference on account of "the present circumstances," the company notes on its website citing the ongoing invasion of Ukraine.

Maersk notes that the company will instead focus on operations and the safety of its employees.
