Big OEMs sold three wind turbines in Denmark in a year – political majority now wants to remove ministerial blockage

Wind power must help wrest Europe free of Putin's gas, but onshore wind turbine sales in Denmark have completely faltered. A parliamentary majority circumventing the governing Social Democrats now wants to postpone a criticized extra bill for generators of wind and solar.

Last year, the two major wind turbine manufacturers Vestas and Siemens Gamesa sold a total of merely three onshore wind turbines for installation in Denmark, shows a new report from trade association Wind Denmark, which forecasts that not a single onshore wind turbine will be erected in the country during 2023-'24.
