Goldwind takes over Danish wind supplier's business in China

Danish company Deif is selling its Chinese wind business to the Asian country's biggest wind turbine manufacturer. "We couldn't keep up," says Deif CEO Christian Nielsen, who hopes the tough decision will make room for new risks in other growing markets.

After almost a year and half in China, Danish control system technology supplier Deif has sold is wind business to OEM giant Goldwind. Similar to the consolidation seen in the European wind market drove Deif to China, the field of big players in the Chinese market prompted the Danish firm to leave again.
