Ireland grants support for 1.9GW

80 Irish wind and solar projects have secured funding through the second RESS auction.

The provisional results of Ireland’s second Renewable Electricity Support Scheme reveal that solar and wind projects totaling 1,948.2MW have received support.

This is a substantial increase compared to the first auction in 2020, which led to funding for 1.275GW.
