Power purchase agreements are typically reserved for major companies, but utility RWE and financier Commerzbank will now strive to change this.
The two partners have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on setting up Greet Mittelstand Fund targeting for medium-sized companies. This will allow them to take direct part in the establishment of an offshore wind farm by providing capital, or they can purchase green electricity as part of long-term PPAs. The final option is to combine the two.
